Welcome back to the Malfaiteurs newsletter. Well, we wish you all a happy new year, and above all, good health. 'Cause that's what bring us today, nothing to jump about but a very sad news - again.
Omer, my brother, is a cool dude. Omer is black,
From Western Africa.
For years he's always been there,
Silent in the shade, present in the need.
You might be surprised to hear
That a white man's brother can be
African !
I don't care, Omer will always be my brother.
Whatever you say, whatever happens
I don't care, Omer will always be my brother.
I might not have said it a month ago,
Or I might - certainly I would - have,
As Omer has truly always been my brother.
You might know Omer, you would have seen him
At the gate of the Party beating up the pavement,
Waiting for you ladies and gents, a joke ready, a smile or a gentle look,
Or was it inside, round Malfaiteurs, that you met Omer, you would remember.
Smoke, Drink, Sing, Party and enjoy yourselves as today
Omer
Has undertaken the long trip to the promised land,
Ethiopia
That has stretched her hands unto God.
There Omer will find His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile selassie I,
King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah,
Elect of God, Light of this World,
King of Zion.
There will rest in peace our brother
Omer
We Love You, rasta man
