Professional Audio to hire

Malfaiteurs runs on a high power professional audio Acoustic Sound System (ASS). Designed and manufactured in the UK, ASS brings 40 years of PA expertise into systems found in the biggest concerts and the most famous night clubs.

6 way sound system

In order to preserve sound quality, you must split your frequencies between Bass, Middle and Treble. Most stereos do it transparently (the small piece of electronics in your speaker boxes), but this is not suitable for bigger sounds. This is why we use Crossovers, which allow to split frequencies before they get amplified.

At Malfaiteurs, we opted for 6 way split frequencies, rendering the sound in the best fashion possible:

This provides for optimal sound restitution, specially when set-up in stereo and using digital electronic equipment.

Stereo Road Show

You know that sound is fuller running on stereo rather than mono. Pure laws of physics, sound waves expansion is directional and providing 2 (or more) non conflicting sources will improve sound quality and availability.

That is why Malfaiteurs runs 2 stacks of speakers, right and left, perfectly phased stereo.

Always on the road, right or left, weekend on, weekend out, parties, weddings, funerals, pubs, clubs, universities, you name it and we'll deliver Malfaiteurs Road Show where you need it.

Malfaiteurs Sound System is portable! We do not hire out on long term, we hire out on occasion. Your party is good enough for us, for details.

Digital Age

Malfaiteurs has embraced the digital age, for safety, quality, portability and longevity.

One of the issue with traditional power amplification is dispersing the heat that is generated. Amps do have fans and huge radiators to dissipate the heat, built in protection clips (tripping and cutting power when becoming too hot), all making them extremely heavy (from 15 to 25 kilograms for a 2 to 4 kilowatt amp)

Digital amplifiers, on the other hand, do generate very little heat and are therefore less prone to clipping, bursting into flames and component melting. They are also very much lighter than traditional amps.

Malfaiteurs runs all bass on Powersoft Digam, 1 unit digital amplifiers from 5 to 7kw each.

In a sound system, not only would you need amplifiers, but also the supporting electronics such as crossovers, equalizers, compressors, to manage your sound. They are the knobby glittery thin boxes you can see on racks, where we can eliminate all interfering or overlapping frequencies from our output.

We have replaced them all with the latest of digital technology: Alto Pro Audio MaxiDrive digital cross-over, or speaker management system, which integrates all those functions under the same box. Digital, programmable, usually with user-friendly interfaces, they allow for room planning and real-time balancing of the sound that comes out of our speakers, ensuring best possible quality throughout the night.

Out the clutter, we still miss an essential piece for a sound system.

High Performance Drivers

Those boxes stacked up high hide the final secret to our sound system. Drivers, those round pieces you can see through the grills, are the bit that transform signal into vibrations perceptible to the human ear.

Varying in size according to their frequency use, as large as 18inches in our bass boxes, we use the best brands to preserve high fidelity at high power.

All bass boxes run B&C drivers, while medium and treble boxes run JBL.
